From TEAS to NCLEX: RN Helping Nursing Students

I am a Registered Nurse with over 12 years of experience including Level 1 Trauma & Med Surg, Hospice, Travel Nursing, and Psych Nursing. I tutor students preparing for the TEAS, nursing coursework including dosage calculations and care plans, and NCLEX preparation.

I hold an RN license in multiple states and earned both my ASN and BSN as an adult student with a family. Nursing is my second degree and career, so I understand the challenge of navigating school while life continues to happen. I have always been a high-performing student, achieving valedictorian twice, and I relied on strong study habits to succeed in nursing school. I am passionate about helping students build effective study habits and gain confidence in their ability to succeed.

My real-world nursing experience allows me to teach concepts not only from textbooks but through practical application. I also help students better understand the nursing profession and the path they are preparing to enter.

Teaching Approach:
Many students struggle not because they cannot learn the material, but because they have not been shown how to think through it. I emphasize pattern recognition, prioritization, and clinical reasoning, especially for NCLEX-style questions. I also help students develop study habits and structured plans that reduce test anxiety.

My goal is to help students pass exams and classes with at least a B average while building the confidence and clinical thinking needed for continued success in nursing.
