I prefer the teaching method of I do, we do, you do- which essentially represents a gradual release of responsibility from teacher to student. This method does vary by student, and I determine which teaching style a student needs based on the initial sessions.
For lessons, I typically use a workbook for the specific grade level that is interested and I also use worksheets as well. It depends on the students learning style and academic level for which resource I typically use.
