I am a certified educator with over 14 years of teaching experience working with students from Pre-K through 5th grade. I hold a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, and my educational background and extensive classroom experience have given me a strong understanding of how young children learn and develop academically.
Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with elementary students with different learning needs and ability levels. My experience has taught me that children learn best when instruction is patient, encouraging, and adapted to the individual student. I break difficult concepts into smaller, manageable steps, use examples students can understand, and provide guided practice before asking students to work independently.

In math, I help students strengthen foundational skills such as number sense, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and problem solving. I use visual examples, step-by-step explanations, practice activities, and real-world connections to help students understand the reasoning behind the math rather than simply memorizing answers.

I also support elementary English and language arts skills, including reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and writing. I encourage students to ask questions and work through mistakes without feeling discouraged.

My goal as a tutor is to identify where each student needs support, build a strong academic foundation, and help the student become a more confident and independent learner. I strive to create a positive, structured, and supportive tutoring environment where students feel comfortable learning at their own pace.
