Hi! My name is Lexi. I hold a Master's and Bachelor's in English from Northeastern University, with Honors in English and a minor in Writing, and am an alumna of Pace Academy in Atlanta, where I graduated with honors. Currently, I am pursuing my JD at the University of Georgia School of Law. I have worked as a tutor with the 826 organization, where I helped students grow as writers in different subjects and genres, and worked as a tutor and consultant at my university's Writing Center, where I was able to help students and faculty across different disciplines.

I have facilitated several college essay workshops, and worked with students individually on their essays. Having worked for my alma mater’s administrative office, I've had the chance to speak with admissions officers, and have a good understanding of what colleges look for in essays.

I have a passion for English and Writing as academic subjects, and for education. I received a perfect score on the Writing portion of the SAT in 2015, and 5's on both the AP Lit and AP Lang exams in 2015 and 2016, respectively. As an undergraduate, I completed a senior project that examined the role of grammar/spelling in how writing is received and an honors project on the way the internet is reshaping writing.

Because of my experience as a Writing Center Consultant, I am able to help with writing regardless of topic-- I have assisted people, ranging from freshmen to professionals with PhDs, with papers on subjects including engineering, history, math, sciences, and of course literature. I have also helped this same range with applications for college, graduate school, medical school, law school, and tenure as a university professor.

I believe that learning is about understanding and engaging, not memorization.
