Have you always been curious about music production and becoming a producer but have no idea where to start? I can help students of all ages develop skills in everything involved in music production. The Digital Audio Workstations (DAW) I use include: Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro X, Studio One and Pro Tools. If you’re interested in mastering Maschine, Komplete Kontrol, MPC, Elektron, SP404, MOOG and Teenage Engineering, I have extensive knowledge and experience with those as well. I’m open to all genres of music but specialize in electronic hip hop. I have an extensive background in music production, mixing and mastering, song writing and ear training. I have worked in the studio with such A-list producers as Noah “40” Shebib, DJ Khaled, Metro Boomin, Just Blaze and many more. I’m one of the most sought after music production and technology instructors in the music industry to date.

I’m available for 1 hour lessons for music production. For beginners, it's important to determine what your goals are, your musical experience and background and your ability to retain complex processes.
I am also a very experienced sound designer, recording engineer, DJ and music technology evangelist. I have several years of experience performing live shows, being a the keynote speaker at numerous music technology workshops for the likes of Ableton, Native Instruments, AVID and Roli and have been a featured artist on their YouTube channels.

If my students express an interest in turning their passion into a career, I aim to help them with the technical and creative aspects of their goals and also help them develop their skills.

I strive to be flexible with my time but I do have a 24-hour cancellation policy.

I have taught composition for over 6 years to students of all ages, so whether you want to create a simple melody, learn more about chord structures and progressions, or multilayer textures with symphonic instruments (or software based instruments) I make sure that I break down everything in a way that’s easy for my students to digest. Music composition can be complex but it doesn’t have to stay that way. Let’s create something amazing together.

Music Production

Music production is not just my occupation, it’s a way of life. Music is a part of everything that I do. I am constantly learning and mastering the intricacies of music production hardware and software, as well as staying dead center on the pulse of the music industry. Whether it’s a new drum machine or VST, or sound expansion, I make sure that I know how it works and how I can best incorporate into my workflow. I was the first female producer to be a featured artist and software demonstrator for Native Instruments and Roli. I was also responsible for training the music industry’s top A-list producers on Maschine and Ableton. I was even a Research and Development contributor for the Apple sponsored Roli consumer product “Blocks”. I want my students to make this process entirely their own. Once I give you the tools, you can go as far as your imagination will take you.
Songwriting

Songwriting

Being able to write a song is an amazing skill that is as fulfilling as it is challenging. And yet there is no right or wrong way to write a song. I have been a songwriter over 10 years and I have written hundreds of Pop, R&B, Alternative, Soul and Hip Hop songs. I have been a songwriter under ASCAP since 2010. Along the way I have collaborated with and developed many singers, songwriters, and rappers ultimately allowing them to create songs that truly move people. I believe in the importance of developing good songwriting habits, building a strong song structure formula and making sure that your heart and passion for music shines through in the process.

For Native Instruments and ALL things NI, Stoni is a master teacher.

Stoni can teach ANYTHING NI - any keyboard, any DAW, anything- she teaches clearly and won't let time be wasted on unnecessary flights into cumbersome methods. A developer of many of the hardware and software of NI, she was able to see right through my twists and turns that would not allow me to use any teaching videos without a helpless mess of disconnects. She recognized the problem, taught me the very roots of the work to be done and has taken the burden off my shoulders that it is my age or my inability that stood in my way. She can fix what's wrong. She can teach the easiest, most effective path. She explains the process so that the student is not lost in memorization of chainlink effects. After months of trying on my own to gain simple answers and knowledge, in one lesson, Stoni had set my feet on the path of music production and has given me the joy of success.
