As an undergrad I was a teaching assistant for organic chemistry and took many advanced level music theory courses. In graduate school I worked as a teaching assistant in immunology and physiology, and especially love to work with students one-on-one. Everyone learns differently, and I enjoy the challenge of explaining difficult concepts in a way that works for each individual’s learning style.
My master’s coursework included courses in general physiology, immunology, stress physiology, and sleep physiology. I also was a graduate teaching assistant for immunology and physiology lab, and an undergraduate teaching assistant for organic chemistry 1.
As a pianist and bassoonist I began taking music theory lessons in high school and scored a 5 on the AP music theory exam. In college I majored in bassoon performance and took many advanced-level music theory courses. I love music theory and enjoy helping people learn to love it as well!
I love working one-on-one with students to figure out which learning style works best for them and help them become confident in difficult concepts. I am friendly and approachable- please contact me with any questions!
