Helping students succeed for over a decade

Pearlie P.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my profile. I have been tutoring for over 10 years. I have tutored throughout high school and college, working in the Math Lab at Spelman College. I have a BS in Math and a Masters degree in Math Education. I am a certified Math teacher with the state of Georgia. I have tutored with private companies, school districts, and my own personal students.

I love Math. I always hope that once I finish working with a student that they will love math too. That rarely happens. However, what does happen is the my students find their confidence to DO math successfully. They learn that yes, I can do it. They learn not to give up. This is what I love about tutoring the most. I love to see the smile on your face or the imaginary light bulb over your head come on; as Oprah would call it-- an AHA moment. It happens.

I love helping you. I will be your biggest cheerleader and your critic. I will encourage and motivate you as well as help you learn the concepts. I will push you to a place where you feel proud of yourself. My love of seeing a student have faith in themselves makes me an excellent tutor. My patience with my students make me an excellent tutor. Sure, my "paper" credentials (degrees and certification) and experience makes me competitive. But I must admit, it does not make me superb. It is my heart and the energy I give to you that makes a highly qualified tutor. Please reach out to me. I would love to hear from you. Tell me what I can do to help you see your fullest potential. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
