I have an undergraduate degree in computer science. I am capable of helping students learn a variety of different programming languages. I have professional programming experience with web sites and Android mobile phones. For college students, I can help tutor fundamental computer science courses including but not limited to (Data Structures, Algorithms, State Machines). Additionally, I can mentor you and share professional development practices. I can teach you things that will help you be successful in the work place. For a high school and/or junior high students, I teach the fundamentals of programming. Giving young children a great start and good understanding of programming, preparing them for for a future in Computer Science.

Lastly, for the adult who wants a career change or just wants to learn a new skill in a different area I can give you the guidance to make you a self sufficient programmer.

Good first lesson

Reviewed my goals for learning programming (to be more marketable in the GIS industry). We downloaded the appropriate software, and reviewed some concepts for creating a first android application in Java. I got my first "Hello World" application running!
