I studied mathematics at Georgia State University with a concentration in actuarial science, and my coursework included Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus, and Chemistry. In high school, I also took AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, and AP Biology. Those are the subjects I'm most comfortable with, and I really enjoy helping students build a strong foundation in them, whether they're catching up, keeping pace, or aiming to get ahead. Outside of tutoring, I've spent several years working with students from elementary school through high school, organizing community programs like summer reading for 2nd-5th graders and career-exploration events for high schoolers, in both one-on-one and small-group settings. My approach is simple: figure out where you're getting stuck, then work through problems together step by step. I care more about understanding the "why" than memorizing steps, so things stick for the next test and not just tonight's homework. My goal is for every session to leave you feeling a little more confident than when we started, because math and science get a lot less intimidating once they start to make sense.
