Hi, I’m Taylor! I bring more than 10 years of experience across private tutoring, youth and peer mentoring, and clinical training, including serving as a teaching assistant at SUNY Downstate College of Nursing. I help students strengthen their understanding, develop effective study habits, and build confidence through practice and progress.
I earned my BS in Psychology from the University of Georgia, graduating cum laude. I also hold a BSN from SUNY Downstate and completed Columbia University’s Pre-Med Program. My approximately 13,000 hours of clinical nursing experience include medical-surgical care, telemetry, and spinal & neurosurgery, bringing practical context to science and nursing coursework.
I welcome middle-school, high-school, college, and nursing students seeking support in biology, anatomy and physiology, chemistry, microbiology, psychology, writing & reading comprehension, and clinical reasoning and best practices. We’ll begin with your goals and the concepts you find challenging, then use clear explanations, diagrams, and guided practice to build understanding. Active recall and explaining ideas in your own words help reveal gaps and strengthen independent problem-solving. Each session ends with focused next steps.
I also offer academic mentoring, application coaching, and interview preparation for nursing-school and healthcare-program applicants. Together, we can strengthen organization, professional communication, résumés, and personal statements while preserving your ideas and voice. We’ll practice articulating your strengths, responding to feedback, and approaching new challenges with greater confidence.
Students can expect a warm, focused environment where questions are welcome. For parents of younger students, we can establish shared goals and appropriate progress updates. We’ll look for concrete gains in understanding, preparation, and independence. Let’s turn your goals into a clear plan—and build the skills and confidence to move forward successfully.
