Hi! I'm Priya, a mathematics graduate from Georgia State University with a concentration in statistics. I have a genuine passion for helping students build confidence in math, and I believe every student can succeed with the right support, patience, and approach. Whether someone is preparing for an exam, working through homework, or trying to understand a difficult concept, I strive to make learning clear, engaging, and stress-free.
My tutoring experience spans two settings. For three months, I tutored one-on-one through Varsity Tutors, working primarily with high school and early college students on topics ranging from algebra through calculus. I also spent eight months working in Georgia State University's precalculus lab, supporting college-age students in a group learning environment where I helped them work through problem sets and prepare for exams. Across both settings, I've learned that students often need different explanations of the same concept before something clicks, so I focus on figuring out how each person thinks rather than repeating the same approach and hoping it lands.
As both a math major and a tutor, I tailor each session to the student's individual needs, breaking down complex topics into manageable steps while encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving skills. My goal isn't just to help students get the right answer, but to make sure they truly understand the material and feel confident solving similar problems on their own. I look forward to helping you reach your academic goals and making math a little less intimidating, and maybe even enjoyable.
