I am a Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering student at Georgia Tech with a concentration in Biotechnology and a strong academic background in mathematics, chemistry, and organic chemistry. I have completed Organic Chemistry I and II as well as rigorous engineering coursework involving advanced mathematics and problem-solving, maintaining an overall GPA of 3.9. Additionally, coming into college, I had a 34 on the ACT.

I have experience tutoring both high school and college students one-on-one, particularly in mathematics (Alegebra I/II, Geometry, Calculus) and Chemistry ( Gen Chemistry I/II, Organic Chemistry I/II). I have also volunteered as a tutor for underprivileged high school students for all things STEM, giving me experience working with students from different academic backgrounds and learning styles.

My tutoring approach focuses on genuine understanding rather than memorization. I start by having students identify the concepts they are struggling with, then break complex topics into smaller, more manageable pieces. I provide organized notes, explanations, and targeted practice problems until the student feels comfortable with the material. I also have students explain concepts back to me in their own words to make sure they truly understand how and why something works. Additionally, I believe that a strong foundation is key to success in any subject, so if I notice gaps in the foundation, I will go back and fill them instead of building on a shaky base. For example, in calculus, a strong foundation in algebra is critical, so if needed, I will go back and work with the student on algebra before trying to add on more challenging content.

I understand how difficult subjects like Organic Chemistry and advanced mathematics can feel because I have taken these courses myself. I am passionate about making challenging material feel less overwhelming and helping students build the confidence and problem-solving skills to succeed independently, not simply memorize information to pass an exam.

Approved Subjects

ACT Math

ACT Math

I am passionate about making people feel confident in their math abilities. I took the ACT myself, and within two attempts, I made an 8-point difference in my math score by utilizing some tips and tricks tailored to the exam that I came up with. I ended up scoring a 34 on the ACT and shared these tricks with several of my peers and students in the past, and everyone made at least a 3-point jump. I hope to give all my students a better shot at the math section and at least a 3-point increase in their score!
Calculus

Calculus

I took AP Calc BC, scoring a 5 on the exam as well as college-level Calculus 3 at a tier 1 school, and achieved an A in the class. I firmly believe that a strong foundation in algebra, trigonometry, and a few memorization tricks can make calculus easy for everyone. I had an amazing calculus professor who broke everything down into bite-sized pieces and made everything easy to visualize, so I hope to share that knowledge with my students and make their calculus experience better, improve grades, and instill confidence in their abilities.
Chemistry

Chemistry

Chemistry if easily my favorite class to teach. I fell in love with chemistry in high school and have gotten A's in every chemistry class I've ever taken from 10th-grade basics to Organic I/II and Biochemistry. The concepts may seem daunting, but I am confident that, with the right tips and tricks, everyone can be successful at chemistry. I have been tutoring chemistry for 2 years, and my students appreciate that I take the time to go over concepts multiple times a week to drive them home, and my analogies that help make the tricky concepts more approachable. I am dedicated to not only raising test scores but making sure your basic foundation is strong so that you can build on it with harder and more involved concepts.
Geometry

Geometry

I have been tutoring geometry for 6 years to a variety of age groups, from high schoolers to middle-aged students trying to refresh their memory for construction exams. I believe that a strong foundation in geometry is important for everyone to have, whether it is to complete household tasks or higher education. With my experience tutoring students from various backgrounds, I have picked up several analogies, tips, and tricks that help concepts stick and sink in and I hope to share them with my future students to make them confident in their ability and trust that their geometry knowledge will be with them for a lifetime.
SAT Math

SAT Math

Strong Math tutoring background with 6+ years of experience. I personally took the SAT twice and was able to improve my score by 100 points by taking apart the exam and understanding the best way to go about solving the problems to improve time and accuracy. I shared these tips with my peers and students and have seen similar jumps in their scores. I hope to continue to share my tips and tricks with future students and make a difference in people's SAT scores and overall math intuition and abilities.
