I am currently an undergraduate student at Georgia Tech, where I continue to build on the strong academic and problem-solving skills that I bring to my tutoring. For the past two years, I have tutored elementary, middle, and high school students in mathematics, working with students of all ages and a wide range of skill levels and learning styles. I have experience teaching elementary math, pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry, both to students who need additional support and to those looking to strengthen or advance their skills.
My tutoring approach is highly individualized because I have learned that no two students understand math in exactly the same way. I focus on identifying where a student is getting stuck and breaking challenging concepts into smaller, more approachable steps. I am patient and comfortable explaining a concept multiple ways, using examples and guided practice until we find the method that makes the most sense to that student. My goal is not simply to help students arrive at the correct answer, but to make sure they understand why their approach works so they can confidently solve similar problems independently.
I am also especially passionate about SAT Math and enjoy helping students develop both the mathematical foundation and test-taking strategies needed to improve their performance. I focus on recognizing common question types, increasing accuracy and speed, and finding efficient approaches to challenging problems. Whether I am helping a younger student build a strong foundation in math or preparing a high school student for the SAT, I strive to create an encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and ultimately becoming more confident in their abilities.
