I am currently a student at Georgia Tech studying Industrial Engineering, with a strong academic background in math, problem-solving, and standardized test preparation. I scored a 36 on the ACT, which gives me firsthand experience with the level of content knowledge, timing, and strategy needed to perform well on standardized tests. In addition to SAT and ACT prep, I am comfortable tutoring K–12 math, including foundational math skills, algebra, geometry, precalculus, and general homework support.
I previously worked as a tutor at Mathnasium, where I taught students from elementary school through high school in both one-on-one and small-group settings. During that experience, I worked with students at many different skill levels, including students who needed to strengthen basic math foundations and students preparing for higher-level coursework or standardized tests. I learned how to adjust my explanations based on each student’s learning style and how to break difficult concepts into clear, manageable steps.
My tutoring approach is patient, structured, and focused on helping students build real understanding rather than just memorizing formulas or shortcuts. For SAT and ACT students, I emphasize both content review and practical test-taking strategies, including timing, accuracy, and recognizing common question patterns. For K–12 math students, I focus on building confidence, filling in gaps, and helping students become more independent problem solvers.
