Welcome! My name is Jamella, and I am a licensed Georgia mathematics educator with a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S.E.) from Georgia State University. For the past 11 years, I have taught students in grades 6-12 in the classroom, providing instruction, academic intervention, and individualized support to help students succeed in mathematics. I have experience working with students at a variety of skill levels, from those strengthening foundational concepts to those enrolled in advanced courses. I tutor Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, College Algebra, and Calculus. I also provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring to help students improve grades, prepare for tests, and build confidence.

My tutoring approach is personalized to each student's learning style and goals. I begin by identifying strengths and learning gaps, then create lessons that build understanding step by step. Rather than focusing on memorization, I help students understand why mathematical concepts work so they can apply them independently. I use guided practice, real-world examples, and continuous feedback to strengthen problem-solving skills and confidence.
