I hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and have spent my career applying math, science, and analytical thinking in both technical and real-world settings. My academic foundation includes advanced coursework in chemistry, calculus, and physics, and I continue to use these subjects extensively in professional problem-solving, data analysis, and engineering-based decision making. In addition to my engineering background, I am a certificated FAA flight instructor and airline captain, roles that require mastery of complex technical concepts and the ability to teach them clearly, safely, and effectively.

I have several years of experience tutoring students in chemistry, calculus, physics, and math at both the high school and college levels. Much of my tutoring has been one-on-one, working with friends and the children of friends who were struggling academically. I specialize in helping students who feel overwhelmed or discouraged, and I have consistently helped students improve from failing or near-failing grades to earning A’s while also gaining confidence and enjoyment in their classes. My approach focuses on identifying foundational gaps, explaining concepts in plain language, and adapting explanations to each student’s learning style rather than relying on memorization.

Teaching has always been a core part of my professional life. As an FAA flight instructor and airline captain, I have trained and mentored students and new first officers in high-pressure, highly regulated environments where clarity, patience, and trust are essential. I bring that same calm, structured, and encouraging approach to tutoring. I take genuine joy in seeing students improve, gain confidence, and begin to enjoy math and science instead of fearing them. My goal is not only better grades, but helping students truly understand the material and believe in their ability to succeed.
