I hold a Master of Education in Leadership and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, along with Georgia educator certification in Special Education, Reading, and ESOL for grades K–12. I have over twenty years of experience working in education across public, private, and virtual settings. My background includes extensive work supporting students with diverse learning needs, including neurodivergent learners, English language learners, and students requiring targeted academic intervention. My training and experience allow me to adapt instruction to meet individual learning styles while maintaining clear academic goals.
Throughout my career, I have provided instruction in classroom, small-group, and one-on-one settings, both in person and remotely. I have taught and tutored students ranging from Pre-K through college, with a strong focus on reading, writing, study skills, and academic confidence. My instructional approach is structured, patient, and student-centered, emphasizing consistency, positive reinforcement, and measurable progress. I regularly adjust methods based on student response and learning pace, using evidence-based strategies to support comprehension, skill development, and independence.
In addition to formal teaching roles, I have provided individualized tutoring and academic support to families seeking personalized instruction outside of traditional school environments. This work has included virtual tutoring, homework support, reading intervention, and executive functioning strategies. I value clear communication with students and families and strive to create a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged and capable. My goal as a tutor is to help students build both skills and confidence through thoughtful, individualized instruction.
