I am a passionate and versatile tutor with experience in both academic and artistic disciplines, specializing in English, writing, proofreading, and ballet. As a student and mentor, I have developed a strong foundation in teaching and guiding students to reach their personal and academic goals. My educational background includes extensive experience in English language and writing, as well as dance performance and choreography, which allows me to approach teaching with creativity, structure, and clarity.

I have served as a Teacher’s Assistant at Spelman College for the Office of Admissions, where I mentored high school and early college students through one-on-one and group settings. In this role, I facilitated discussions, provided academic guidance, and helped students develop critical thinking and communication skills. I have also led workshops and public service initiatives, such as guiding students in creating a public service announcement on period poverty, where I helped students organize their ideas, write scripts, and present their work effectively. These experiences gave me the skills to tailor my teaching style to the individual needs of each student, whether through direct instruction, guided practice, or collaborative projects. I have worked with students ranging from middle school to early college, in both classroom and one-on-one contexts, as well as in volunteer and mentorship settings.

My teaching philosophy centers on fostering confidence, skill mastery, and a love for learning. Whether helping a student refine their essay, improve their grammar, or master a challenging ballet combination, I strive to provide personalized, results-driven instruction that empowers students to succeed.
