Hello! My name is Inayah! I graduated from Gwynedd Mercy University in 2022 with a B.S in Mathematics and Minor in Chemistry. Following that, I received a Post-Baccalaureate Certification in Mathematics from Northwestern University.
I have several years of experience working with students across a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and learning needs. I began teaching in 2022 as a Math Coach Swarthmore College, where I worked with elementary and middle school students in small groups and one-on-one sessions. In that role, I learned how to break down concepts from multiple angles, rebuild lessons for students with significant learning gaps, and create a supportive environment where they could develop confidence as well as skill. l’ve helped many students reach grade-level benchmarks within a year.
I have also worked with older students as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where I lead recitations, run office hours, and provide individualized academic support. There, I have seen firsthand how early gaps in math education follow students into higher-level courses. These experiences have shaped my belief that strong, patient, and personalized instruction is essential; especially so for students who have struggled in traditional classroom environments or have learning differences.
As a career mathematician, I understand the level of mastery required for students to succeed not only in math classes but in any analytical field. My academic background allows me to anticipate common difficulties, identify missing foundational skills, and explain concepts clearly and intuitively. Across every role, my goal has been to meet students where they are, support their growth with compassion and rigor, and help them build the skills they need to succeed long-term. I would be excited to bring this experience and perspective to help your family through mathematics tutoring!
