I am a fourth-year medical student who has scored in the top percentiles on the MCAT, USMLE Step 1, and Step 2 CK (263), as well as in SAT Math (720). My academic journey has been shaped by persistence, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for effective learning strategies—skills I now share with my students. I know firsthand how overwhelming standardized exams can feel, and I specialize in breaking down complex concepts into clear, memorable frameworks that boost both understanding and confidence.

My teaching experience spans over eight years, from leading small group sessions for first- and second-year medical students to tutoring high school and college students in subjects like chemistry, biology, physics, and math. I also serve as a case-based learning preceptor and Step 2 tutor at my medical school, where I focus on active recall, pattern recognition, and targeted practice questions to ensure long-term retention. Whether working with a student aiming for a competitive exam score or someone trying to master a challenging class, I tailor my approach to their learning style, pacing, and goals.

I believe the best tutoring is not just about knowing the material—it’s about knowing how to teach it. In our sessions, you can expect a structured plan, clear explanations, and plenty of real-world examples to connect the dots. My goal is for you to leave each session not only with answers, but with a deeper understanding of the “why” behind them. From high school sciences to advanced medical topics, I am committed to helping you reach your full potential.

Very helpful and guides students through solving the problems on their own so they are ready for the test.

He helped me prepare for the math and science portions of the ACT, focusing on reviewing materials and formulas, and walking through full practice problems to learn how to think them through.

I had an excellent experience working with Karim. He is knowledgeable, patient, and truly knows how to teach clinical reasoning for Step 2. From the very first session, it was clear that they not only had a deep understanding of Step 2 content but also knew how to teach clinical reasoning in a way that truly sticks. He doesn't just review facts he pushs you to think through differentials, management steps, and exam strategy. Sessions are efficient, tailored to your needs, and leave you with clear next steps.
