I have been a tutor in the past and I currently tutor anywhere from elementary school through college level math, all of which have been one-on-one sessions. I believe the best way to learn is to understand why something is not correct, opposed to just finding the correct answer, so that the same mistake is not made again. I like to keep things light and not stressful - I’m not your teacher and I want you to feel as though tutoring is a safe space to fail and try again since there are no negative repercussions (like if you were taking a test!)
