Hello! My name is Kylar H., and I am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals through personalized, encouraging support. I am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Biology with a concentration in Pre-Med at Georgia State University. I am currently a research assistant. In addition to my studies, I have over six years of tutoring experience in subjects such as chemistry, physics, biology, and mathematics. My background in the sciences and mathematics, combined with my hands-on experience in education, allows me to break down complex topics into clear, understandable lessons tailored to each student’s unique learning style.
I have been working with students between the ages of 5 and 16, both one-on-one and in small group settings. My tutoring approach emphasizes patience, active listening, and developing a strong foundation of understanding rather than rote memorization. I adapt my teaching methods to meet each student’s needs, using visual aids, interactive questioning, and real-world examples to make material relatable and engaging. In addition to tutoring, I have experience managing groups of 20-25 elementary school students in a classroom environment, which has strengthened my ability to maintain structure while fostering a positive, motivating learning space.
Whether your student needs help grasping new concepts, building confidence, or preparing for exams, I am committed to providing supportive, personalized guidance. I believe that with the right encouragement and tools, every student has the potential to succeed, and I am excited to help them on their journey!
