Dear Student,

I have an undergraduate degree in Economics with an emphasis in Mathematics from Amherst College (1985) and many advanced degrees, including an MBA from MIT (1987) and an M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from Rensselaer Hartford (1992). In addition, I have just completed classes in Psychology, Biology, and Medical Interpreting, providing me practical experience with lifelong learning. With a strong academic background, I've helped numerous students thrive in disciplines such as statistics, economics, managerial accounting, financial accounting, and finance. My tutoring expertise began in college when I started tutoring French, and I've since worked with students from a variety of Ivy League colleges.

I concentrate in a variety of courses, mainly economics and accounting. My expertise includes Principles of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, Managerial Economics, Intermediate Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, and Microeconomic Theory, which includes topics like Consumer Theory, Producer Theory, Optimization, Market Structures, and Game Theory (using Perloff, Nicholson, and Besanko textbooks). In accounting, I am skilled in financial accounting, managerial accounting, cost accounting, intermediate accounting, and advanced accounting. I strive to break down difficult subjects into simply comprehensible components and adjust my teaching approaches to each student's specific need.

Throughout my career, I've had positions as an academic, company executive, government official, and nonprofit management. My enthusiasm for teaching and learning motivates me to assist students gain confidence and achieve academic achievement. In addition to tutoring, I like sports and the performing arts, which helps me to engage with people from many backgrounds.
