Hi! I'm Amanda, a soon-to-be graduate of Emory University. I'll be receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science next month. I have been tutoring for close to 10 years now, in subjects such as French, English, and math (geometry, Algebra 1 & 2, AB & BC calculus). I've done this tutoring both one on one and in small groups, with ages ranging 8-18.

I have extensive personal and professional experience with individuals with disabilities. I welcome the opportunity to work with students of all abilities, and am confident I have the skillset to provide excellent services to students regardless of disability.
In my sessions, we'll start by identifying our most important task. This could be completing a homework assignment, breaking down a new concept, or reviewing for a test. Then, we'll outline what steps to take to accomplish this goal. This could include the mini-concepts that lead to the bigger picture, or working through an assignments or practice problems.
After executing this plan throughout the session, I ask my students to self-assess their confidence on the material we covered. This information informs what I need to include in my brief post-session report that I provide to the student. I will always recap what we covered, and provide recommendations for next steps.
If you're looking for a reliable and friendly tutor with consistent quality services, please reach out! We could be a great fit.
