With a strong background in applied linguistics and extensive experience in teaching and tutoring, I am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals. I hold a B.A. in Applied Linguistics and TESOL from Georgia State University and am currently completing my M.A. in Applied Linguistics and Research. My academic journey has equipped me with deep knowledge of language acquisition, curriculum development, and effective teaching strategies. Additionally, my TESOL certification (250 training hours) has provided me with hands-on experience in designing lesson plans and engaging learners of diverse backgrounds.
My tutoring experience spans various educational settings, from structured after-school programs to personalized one-on-one instruction. As a K-8 ELA and Math tutor for In-Home Tutors Atlanta, I tailored lesson plans to meet individual student needs, especially for those with learning disabilities such as ADHD. My role as an after-school engagement teacher at Little Scholars allowed me to create interactive STEM lessons that fostered curiosity and active participation. I also have experience as a private tutor, working closely with students to improve reading and math skills through customized teaching methods. Currently, at Canei Community School, I manage a classroom of young learners, guiding them through academic support and creative activities such as art and gardening.
