My name is Jacob, and I’m here to help you or your child with English.
I began my tutoring career in 2011 when I assisted international students with English as their second language. Four years later, I graduated from Georgia College and State University with a degree in creative writing, and I continue to be passionate about the craft. I regularly attend Atlanta writing workshop meetings where I assist others with their writing by reading, reviewing, and editing their work. It is an exchange of work where we support and edit one another’s work. I am well-read and have an extensive vocabulary.
I do especially well with neurodivergent students, especially those with ADHD or autism. As someone who has struggled with both ADHD and autism myself, I am empathic and helpful in encouraging others who have similar difficulties. Over the years, I’ve picked up many tips, tricks, and strategies to help your child learn in a world not specially designed to help them.
I am punctual, professional, and tidy. I am also down-to-earth, patient, and accepting of all students. I believe that every student deserves a chance to appreciate the intricacies of the English language, and am more than willing to work with them to make that happen.
My schedule is flexible, and I am available to work any hours you require and am understanding regarding last-minute alterations.
