Epidemiology

Epidemiology

I hold a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Epidemiology and have professional experience as an epidemiologist at the CDC’s Influenza Division. My work focused on national disease surveillance and data analysis to guide public health policy and response during the COVID-19 pandemic. I’m skilled in study design, biostatistics, and critical appraisal of research. I enjoy helping students grasp epidemiologic principles and apply them confidently to real-world data and problems.
Sociology

Sociology

I earned my Master of Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology and served as a Teaching Assistant for the graduate-level Social and Behavioral Sciences course. In this role, I led review sessions, graded assignments, and helped students connect core sociological and behavioral theories to real-world public health applications. My background combines training in sociology, psychology, and public health, allowing me to guide students in understanding how social factors shape health behaviors and outcomes. I’m passionate about making abstract concepts clear and relevant through discussion and applied examples.
