Struggling with essays? Freezing on AP-style multiple-choice questions? Studying hard but still earning C’s? I work with smart, capable students who feel overwhelmed by writing, history, or test performance.

I taught English and World History for six years at The Howard School in Atlanta, a school specializing in students with ADHD, dyslexia, and executive-function challenges. I focus on reducing overwhelm through structure, clarity, and repeatable systems that help students know exactly where to start and what to do next.

In writing, I break essays into manageable parts, teach clear thesis development and paragraph structure, and strengthen sentence-level clarity so students stop guessing and start writing with purpose.

For AP and history students, I help them analyze practice multiple-choice questions, identify weak content areas and reasoning gaps, and shift from passive review to targeted, strategic practice.
I also support executive-function skills by building structured study workflows, improving task initiation, and helping students pinpoint and address specific weaknesses.

My approach is grounded in research-based methods inspired by The Writing Revolution and explicit instruction principles. When appropriate, I also teach students how to use AI tools responsibly to deepen understanding and organize their learning — not to replace their thinking.

My goal is simple: help students move from “I don’t know where to start” to clear thinking, stronger performance, and improved grades. If your student is capable but frustrated and needs structured, focused support, I’m ready to help.
