Hi! My name is Anjali. I double majored in Management Information Systems and Economics in the Honors Program at the University of Georgia. I also majored in Music Industry at Georgia State University, where I was on the President's List. I received an Honors Diploma and a 35 ACT. I am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals and specialize in Math, Writing & Grammar, and Music.
In high school, I volunteered with an NGO, tutoring disadvantaged students ages 5 to 14. I tutored 1 to 3 students at a time, depending on the children's needs. We discussed books we read together, worked on improving grammar and writing, and tackled tough practice problems for challenging math concepts. This experience led me to discover the extent to which I love teaching and helping others grow. In college, I tutored many of my peers on subjects such as Music Theory and Physics, both one-on-one and in small groups. I explained difficult concepts in a manner that was easy to grasp and provided methods to help them easily apply the concepts to their work. We then worked through practice problems together to solidify their understanding.
I have found that student-centered teaching methods are the most effective, and I focus on empowering and assisting students. School can be a significant source of stress for many students, and I hope to lessen that burden and help them accomplish their educational pursuits with ease. I have learned various methods that have allowed me to be successful throughout my academic career, and I desire to share them with others to help them with theirs. Everyone has a unique way of learning, and I believe that the best teachers help students develop the skills to navigate the education system without too much extra help, though I am always here if needed.
