Hi, my name’s Alexis! I graduated from Georgia State University with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Educational Psychology. After completing two years of Teach for America, teaching 9th - 12th grade, I returned to Atlanta to continue teaching.
During my third year of teaching and coaching varsity cheer, I began graduate school at Georgia State eventually earning an M.A. in Creative and Innovative Education and a graduate certificate in Instructional Design and Technology.
I’ve now been teaching math and psychology for 8 years including Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, AP Calculus AB, AP Statistics, Psychology, and Middle School mathematics. In addition to having tutored all of those subjects, I have also tutored SAT/ACT Prep and college level courses.
I love providing students with opportunities to learn and showcase their knowledge as best they can. I strive to meet students where they are and support them in meeting their academic and personal goals!
