In 2019, I earned my Bachelor's in Biochemistry from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a GPA of 3.9. Subsequently, I delved into the world of molecular biology and pharmacology, dedicating three years to a research laboratory at UMass Medical School where I contributed to 15 peer-reviewed publications, including 2 first-author publications.

I am currently pursuing an MD/PhD at Emory University School of Medicine – I have successfully completed the first 3 years of my medical education and currently doing my PhD in the Biochemistry, Cell, and Developmental Biology department. My thesis project is centered around antibiotic resistance and developing novel therapies to combat resistance mechanisms. My clinical interests include general surgery and trauma surgery.
Throughout my medical school journey, I have maintained a passion for teaching, rooted in my experiences as a peer tutor during my undergraduate years. Having successfully navigated test-taking anxiety myself, I am committed to helping others overcome their fears by reviewing practice problems to uncover test-taking mistakes or content knowledge gaps. This process has proven useful as I have been able to help several medical school classmates uncover test-taking mistakes and recommend corrective actions. In addition, uncovering knowledge gaps allows me to focus on high-yield material.

Super knowledgeable and versitile tutor

I have used Mina for Physiology, Immunology, and Biochemistry and he has been beyond helpful when it came to topics that just weren't making sense when using my class material. Mina does a great job at breaking the concepts down to bite size and manageable pieces by showing the big picture and focusing on the specific details in order to understand the "why" in the question stem. Also, he is able to bring in and tie different high yield concepts together that are related to each other therefore showing the connection between the concept and clinical implications and correlates. Lastly, when reviewing questions (BRS, Lippincott, class questions), he has given me really helpful test taking skills/ strategies that have helped me when answering questions on my exams. Overall, I have really appreciated all the time and help he has given me to be successful and understand class material.
