Hello! My name is Ranjani, and I currently attend the University of Georgia as a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major, with a minor in violin music performance. Go Dawgs!!
Playing the violin has been an integral part of my life for the past 11 years. I view music as a means to disconnect from the chaos of the world and connect with my inner self. Beyond the confines of the practice room, I have had the privilege of performing with esteemed ensembles such as the Atlanta Junior Chamber Orchestra and the Emory Youth Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, I successfully earned a spot in the All-State Orchestra through a rigorous audition process. Throughout my high school years, I was honored to be selected as the concertmaster of the advanced orchestra club as well.
Another area of expertise of mine is math, particularly SAT math. Achieving a score of 770 on the math section of the SAT, with only three questions missed, highlights my command of the subject. I firmly believe that the math section of the SAT can be conquered through simple strategies and by deciphering the tricks that aim to confuse students. With enough practice and the right mindset, anything is possible:)
During my high school years, I served as a leader in the Fernbank Youth Interpreter volunteering program. This role provided me with the opportunity to educate museum guests on diverse subjects such as anatomy/physiology, fossils, and astronomy.
My approach to teaching SAT math :
I will teach students any knowledge gaps and strategies to improve their success. It's crucial to master math skills up to Algebra 2/Geometry level for the SAT math section. I'll start with thorough foundation building and filling in gaps, followed by untimed practice tests. As accuracy improves, timed tests will be introduced for better preparation.
