I'm a recent graduate of the University of Georgia with a Master of Arts in Spanish Linguistics. As a graduate student, I taught an accelerated beginner Spanish course to undergraduate students for two years, in which we covered two semesters of coursework in one semester. One common theme with my student evaluations is that I'm relatable and reliable. Learning a language is an intimidating process that comes with learning a new culture as well, so I make the information as relatable to my students' lives as possible. You also need someone to rely on that will help you through the process of learning a language because it can be frustrating. Someone that has gone through the same experience can guide you. It's so rewarding to see lightbulbs go off in the heads of your students that went off in your head as you studied the language.

During my undergraduate studies, I lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina for three months where I studied Spanish at the Universidad de Palermo. A year later I moved to Spain and taught English at an elementary school and tutored at home in my free time. I'm an enthusiastic educator that's driven to help others succeed, I'm very receptive to what my students' needs are, and I make sure to thoroughly explain concepts with several real-world examples so students understand the material being presented to them. I'm very receptive to and encourage students to give feedback and provide available resources in order to benefit all of my current and future students alike.
