Hello! I'm Lauren. I recently received my master's degree in art history from the University of Georgia. I have two years of experience working as a teaching assistant for the art history department, teaching students to conduct research and improve the writing process. Before that, I received my undergraduate degree in art history and political science from Williams College, and then spent several years as an independent tutor and as a freelance writer and copy editor.
I love the written word and the practice of history, and it's a privilege to share those passions with my students. I go above and beyond to provide helpful, effective feedback. I am also approachable and flexible -- if a student is struggling with a skill or a concept, I make adjustments until I find the strategy that clicks. In an anonymous end-of-semester survey, one student wrote, "Lauren provided extraordinary feedback that was extremely detailed, helpful and impactful. I wouldn’t have been able to succeed in this class or with my research without her."
My schedule is flexible and I am very responsive. Please reach out if you have any questions or would like to schedule your first lesson!
