I’m a Brown University graduate with a BA in Anthropology and Africana Studies and a deep passion for education that has guided my work in and out of the classroom. My teaching journey began in 2015 at Brown University’s pre-college program, Summer@Brown, where I led high school workshops focused on culture, identity, and the arts. Currently, I work with students of all ages—ranging from early elementary to adult learners—in subjects like cultural studies, literacy, and foundational math. My goal as a tutor is not only to support academic success, but to empower students with the tools and confidence they need to become independent learners.
I bring a student-centered, goal-driven approach to every session. I use the “I Do, We Do, You Do” model to scaffold new skills and build confidence gradually. I also create SMART goals tailored to each student’s unique needs and interests, helping ensure that learning stays relevant and measurable. Whether I’m working with a young reader, a middle schooler strengthening their math skills, or an adult returning to school, I adapt my methods to match the learner’s pace and style. With additional language experience in Spanish, French, and American Sign Language, I teach with cultural awareness and empathy across all subjects. I believe education should be accessible, engaging, and empowering—and I’m here to help make that possible.
