I hold a dual undergraduate degree in English and Mathematics, with minors in Chemistry and Physics from Troy University, where I graduated summa cum laude. I also completed three years of graduate coursework in pure mathematics at Auburn University. My academic foundation allows me to tutor a wide range of subjects, but I specialize in math—from foundational skills and algebra to calculus and statistics.

For over 15 years, I taught mathematics at the community college level, primarily at Athens Technical College, where I worked closely with students who needed extra support. Many of my students were adult learners, nontraditional students, or those who had long struggled with math. My strength lies in breaking down challenging concepts into clear, accessible steps and using relatable, real-world examples to build understanding and confidence. I’ve also tutored one-on-one in both in-person and online settings, helping students prepare for standardized tests, succeed in coursework, or develop general skills.

My approach is supportive and judgment-free; I create a space where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. Whether I’m working with middle schoolers, high school students, or adults returning to education, I tailor my approach to meet the individual’s needs—always with clarity, patience, and encouragement.
