I graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with a bachelor of arts in Language and Culture and a minor in Biology. Since I graduated, I studied to get my TEFL/TESOL certification and started teaching ESL to various students. I also worked as a research assistant at the New York Botanical Garden researching algae and the evolutionary processes happening in Michigan's lakes. I have experience tutoring a wide range of subjects including English (writing, reading, grammar, conversation), Beginning Italian, Creative Writing, Biology, AP Government, and others. I am passionate about every subject I tutor as I love learning more than anything else and cannot possibly choose a favorite.
I typically teach elementary to high school students, but I have experience teaching and tutoring college-age students as well. I've been tutoring and teaching for almost five years. I started volunteering as a peer tutor in high school for the classes I had passed and continued my work as a private ESL teacher, organization tutor, and peer mentor when I began college. In my last year of college, I worked as a hybrid beginning Italian tutor while interning at the Center for Italian Modern Art. Rounding out my experience, I interned at the New York Botanical Garden as a research intern, which enhanced my understanding of the biological mechanisms that make up all life.
