Hello! My name is Abbie, and I am an elementary educator with a Master’s degree and four years of classroom teaching experience. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students across multiple grade levels and subject areas, giving me a strong understanding of how children develop literacy skills from the primary grades through upper elementary school.

My experience includes teaching all subjects in first grade, third-grade writing, science, and social studies, and fourth-grade reading and writing. These experiences have allowed me to work with students with a wide range of abilities and learning styles, from beginning readers to students who need support with reading comprehension, grammar, and written expression.

I specialize in reading, writing, grammar, and phonics instruction. My tutoring approach is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I believe students learn best when they feel supported and confident, so I create engaging lessons that build skills while helping students develop a positive attitude toward learning.

Whether your child needs help with phonics, decoding, fluency, reading comprehension, grammar, sentence structure, paragraph writing, or overall literacy development, I provide targeted instruction and practice designed to help them succeed. I use strategies that break skills into manageable steps and celebrate progress along the way.

As a classroom teacher, I understand the academic expectations students face and work closely with families to help students meet their goals. My goal is to help every student become a more confident reader, writer, and learner.
