Anatomy

Anatomy is my most favorite science subject because it is essentially the art of the human body, which is fascinating. I have taught Anatomy and Physiology at a local community college for 2 years.

Biology

I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's Degree in Bio-Medical Science. I have instructed college biology students for 3 years. I also tutor high school students in Biology.

Elementary Math

I am qualified to teach Elementary Math with Wyzant. I have taught 6th grade math, College Math, and tutored many 5th and 6th grade students in Math.

Physical Science

I am a certified High School Science teacher. I taught Physical Science for three years at a local high school. I enjoy teaching and tutoring this subject.

Prealgebra

I currently teach a basics math course at a local community college. This basics math course entails basic math operations and pre-algebra. I have also tutored elementary to college students in this subject area.

Study Skills

As an instructor of Biology and Math, I have shown students that effective study habits are key to doing well in a course. Simple organization skills and effective study habits play a vital role in doing well in a course. When tutoring students in math and science, I introduce effective study strategies as well. As a tutor and instructor for over 10 years, teaching study strategies is something that the tutor or instructor can only learn by experience with various types of students. I have also had the opportunity of advising students with enrolling in courses. This ability to advise has also helped me in teaching effective study strategies.
