Amy is a mom of 4 and certified early childhood education teacher with a certification in special education. She attended Samford University where she earned her collaborative degree. Amy worked as an elementary resource teacher in North Atlanta post graduation where she was able to work in small groups of childhood focusing on literacy skills.

While Amy has always had a heart for teaching, her passion grew even more once her two middle sons were diagnosed with dyslexia. She saw firsthand how the Orton Gillingham approach changed their lives and was trained by an Orton Gillingham Fellow from the Orton Gillingham Academy. She currently works as an OG tutor to elementary aged students. Her deepest desire is to see children grow not only in their reading and writing, but in their confidence. She would be honored to work with your child!

My son LOVES Mrs. Amy!

Amy has been so great teaching my son to read. His confidence has soared and he loves working with her. Amy encourages him and is so positive. My son has gone from moaning and groaning every time he was asked to work on reading to actually enjoying sitting and reading stories. In a short time, he has learned so much thanks to Amy!
