I am a recently retired banker who spent 30+ years in corporate and investment banking as well as commercial banking. During my professional life, I developed a reputation for helping our younger bankers learn technical skills but also the qualitative skills needed to be successful in their careers.
I am believer in passing on the knowledge and skills that I obtained by learning from senior bankers, professors, and mentors over my career. I have a great deal of experience in topics such as credit analysis and structuring, corporate finance, business strategy and execution, economics, career management, and the like.
I have tutored and mentored college graduates and college and high school students on these topics and have run small seminars and done presentations to these segments. I am easy-going but determined to help a student get to the level of proficiency they desire.
By way of educational background and certifications, I earned my BA in economics from Northwestern University and have an MBA (finance) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition, I have active securities licenses -- Series 7, 79, 63, and 22.
