Hey there, I'm Sara! I graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with minors in Management and Music from Stetson University in 2017. In May of 2023, I graduated with my M.S. in College Student Personnel at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. These two degrees showcased for me my passion for empowering people, and how I facilitate this by utilizing the skills people already have within them. This passion is the backbone of my teaching style in tutoring! I understand how it feels to not grasp a subject, and therefore, I use patience and empowerment to help my students believe in themselves just as much.

I have experience tutoring a wide range of students, primarily in math courses; however, I have the skills necessary to tutor psychology, writing, and proofreading. In my academic coursework, I gained a plethora of knowledge in writing lengthy APA style papers, editing college-level papers, and taking tests.

I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from Stetson University with a 4.0 GPA. Several of the courses I took included Abnormal Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Childhood Behavioral Disorders, Clinical and Counseling Psychology, and Behavioral Statistics. I have experience tutoring behavioral statistics one-on-one and have knowledge in the AP exam for psychology!

Great tutor

Sarah is an encouraging tutor and has helped our 8th grader develop a greater understanding of pre-algebra. She is knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and kind and our daughter feels at ease with her. She has been a great help in developing our daughter's math skills and comprehension and we look forward to future sessions with her.
