Dear Potential Students and Families,

Hi! My name is Josias, and I am a high school graduate heading to the University of Central Florida (UCF) this Fall 2026 to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering. My deep passion for mathematics blossomed during my own academic journey, where I successfully took and passed AP Precalculus, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC—earning a top score of 5 on my AP exams. This rigorous coursework gave me a rock-solid foundation in upper-level mathematics, which I love sharing with others. Since August of 2025, I have been working consistently as a professional Math Instructor at Mathnasium. In this role, I have gained extensive, hands-on experience working with diverse age groups and skill levels, helping students master everything from foundational middle school algebra to advanced high school calculus.

My personal tutoring approach completely shifts the focus away from stressful rote memorization and places it on achieving a deep, conceptual understanding. I believe that math shouldn't just be about memorizing steps for a test; instead, I guide my students through the underlying logic of how math actually works, transforming intimidating equations into practical tools they truly understand how and when to use. I strive to create a patient, encouraging, and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and breaking down complex problems at their own pace. No matter where you are currently starting from, we can work together to build both your confidence and your grades. Please drop me a line through the contact button to share what topics you are currently tackling, and we can easily set up a time to get started!

Algebra 1

Since August of 2025, I have worked as a Math Instructor at Mathnasium, where I have successfully guided dozens of students through the foundational concepts of Algebra 1. My approach focuses heavily on helping students understand the 'why' and 'how' behind mathematical operations rather than relying on mindless memorization. By breaking down intimidating topics like multi-step equations, graphing linear functions, and factoring quadratics into manageable steps, I help students bridge the gap between confusion and true conceptual clarity. I am dedicated to building lasting academic confidence so that students can independently tackle their homework and exams with ease.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

Since August of 2025, my role as a Math Instructor at Mathnasium has allowed me to help numerous students navigate the advanced and abstract concepts of Algebra 2. I emphasize deep conceptual understanding over memorization, ensuring students truly grasp the mechanics of complex numbers, exponential and logarithmic functions, and polynomial matrices. By breaking down these intimidating topics into logical steps, I help students bridge the gap from rote learning to true problem-solving clarity. My goal is to equip every student with the tools and analytical confidence they need to master their coursework and prepare for pre-calculus.
Calculus

Calculus

As a professional Mathnasium Instructor, I have spent the past year helping students successfully navigate advanced topics like optimization, related rates, and integration techniques. My deep personal mastery of the subject matter is demonstrated by earning a perfect score of 5 on both the AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC exams. Currently pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree at UCF, I provide real-world applications that bring complex theoretical calculus theorems to life. I tailor my teaching style to focus heavily on foundational logic, helping students build absolute confidence ahead of major exams.
Precalculus

Precalculus

As a professional Mathnasium Instructor, I have extensive experience guiding high school students through advanced algebra, trigonometry, and analytical geometry concepts. My deep personal command of the subject matter is backed by earning a perfect score of 5 on the AP Precalculus, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC exams. Currently pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree at UCF, I excel at turning intimidating equations into practical problem-solving tools. My tutoring sessions focus entirely on helping students build a strong conceptual foundation so they can confidently transition into upper-level calculus courses.
SAT Math

SAT Math

As a current Mathnasium Instructor with a year of formal teaching experience, I have successfully coached diverse students through everything from algebra to advanced high school calculus. My academic background includes scoring a perfect 5 on the AP Calculus AB, BC, and Precalculus exams, alongside earning a 720 on the SAT Math section. Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at UCF, I specialize in breaking down complex test-prep questions into simple, logical steps. I focus heavily on deep conceptual understanding so my students can approach exam day with genuine confidence.
