I graduated from Stanford University with Distinction (top 5% of both majors), with Double Majors in Economics and Political Science. My Economics course work included Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, International Economics and Finance, Securities Analysis, and Econometrics. My Political Science major involved a heavy emphasis on both ancient and modern history and political philosophy, along with the usual curriculum relating to Political Science itself. All the courses emphasized analytical skills along with essay writing.

I followed up my interest in Economics and Securities markets by building a successful career in the investment industry, and now work for myself. I have taught test preparation for the securities licensing tests, including the Series 6, 7, 63, 65, and 66. My passion for teaching and helping students has never waned, and during the past 10 years I have taught a wide variety of subjects.

I have worked exclusively in the Investment and Securities industry since 1983, and for the past 30 years, have been an Investment-products Wholesaler, representing a variety of investment companies and distributing those products through Investment Advisers. A large part of my work involves public speaking -- giving presentations at Investment Conferences (in front of hundreds of attendees) sales meetings, and client seminars. In many ways, public speaking is what I do for a living! I have been trained in public speaking and presentation skills throughout my entire career - and during the last 10 years have turned those talents into part of my business model: I teach other sales people how to present in public with confidence. Through demonstrating and practicing different presentation skills and techniques, I am very confident in my ability to help make anyone a more confident and effective communicator and speaker!
Series 63,

Series 63

I received both my Series 7 and Series 63 at approximately the same time when I entered the investment industry, in 1984. I have worked exclusively in that industry since that time, both on the retail side of the business (working with individual clients) as well as on the wholesale side of the business (marketing investment vehicles to Financial Advisors).
Series 65,

Series 65

I have been Series 65 licensed as well as Series 7 licensed for most of my career in the Investment industry. The Series 65 - which gives one access to the Advisory side of the business, and is needed in order to work with a Registered Investment Adviser - is a very different test than is the Series 7, and is more focused on regulations as well as broader economic and financial considerations.
Series 66,

Series 66

I have worked in the Investment industry for more than 30 years, both in a retail sales as well as Wholesaling capacity. The Series 66 test combines the Series 65, which I hold, along with the Series 63, which I also have; it is a challenging test but one that can be prepared for and mastered if taught the right way.
Series 7,

Series 7

I graduated from Stanford University with double majors in Economics and Political Science, and have worked my entire career in the Financial Services industry. I've had my Series 7 for more than 30 years, my 63 for an equal amount of time, and also have my Series 65.

If you want to pass go with G

G helped me pass my exam on my third attempt. I failed the first two and went to another tutor on this website and was not impressed. G not only cared during the lesson but anytime I had a question he would text me and help me out. He explained things and really pushed me to learn the information, not just memorize it. This is the man who will help you pass your exam!!

Passed Series 7!

Guillermo helped me a lot with understanding options, margin and other areas I was having difficulty with. He is knowledgeable, caring and understanding. He helped me overcome my test anxiety after 2 failed attempts. I ended up passing on my 3rd attempt and I'm so grateful to have found Guillermo. His words of encouragement and patients gave me confidence going into the exam. I would highly recommend him to anyone having difficulty with the series 7.

Knowledgeable tutor

Guillermo is a fantastic tutor! I was struggling with options for the series 7 and he was able to teach me how to understand how they worked rather than memorizing the formulas. He was very patient and knowledgeable. I feel much more confident going into my exam and would recommend him to anyone studying for the series 7! Thank you Guillermo!

Knowledgable and succinct

Great series 65 teacher! I’m only one class in and I can tell he is more helpful than the books I have been reading. I’m excited to continue working with him!

Fantastic

Guillermo was a great tutor and took the time to walk me through options in preparation for my Series 7. He uses logic instead of memorization and I found it very helpful to do one on one tutoring.
