I have been working as a professional tutor full time for 11 years. I also tutored while earning my Bachelor's Degree in English literature at the University of Central Florida. As a result, I have a strong background in writing, reading, proofreading, and literature analysis. At the same time, I am proficient in tutoring math including, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and basic skills and strategies necessary for success on many standardized tests. With this combination in my background, I am able to help students prepare for tests such as the SAT, ACT, and TEAS in both mathematics and verbal sections.

I am excited about helping my students achieve their goals, and I work to individualize my approach for everyone I work with. Dedication and patience are important parts of my approach, whether the student is of elementary age or an adult returning to school. At the beginning, I will work to determine what a student knows and help them fill in the gaps. I can simultaneously help you with your current curriculum, while revisiting past concepts that need to be mastered, and I make it a habit to regularly communicate with clients and students.

My students can count on me to be encouraging, patient, and flexible. I will help you comprehend, understand, and make connections to the material. I work locally out of a quiet office perfect for getting work done. I look forward to hearing from you and getting started!

Geometry can be understood! ...with the right teacher

My daughter's teacher honestly does not teach Geometry but speaks in analogies leaving hoards of students and parents scrambling to find tutors. It's absurd but we knew something had to be done. Had our first session today after researching and spending hours trying to find the right tutor. When the session was over my high school freshman was quiet and after Sarah left I asked, "How was it?". She is not quiet by any means but she looked at me with relief and said, "She was GOOD". Couldn't be happier!

Empowering, perceptive, and caring

Sarah taught me key information to prepare me for the TEAS exam. I really enjoyed her uplifting personality and willingness to go into depth on specific topics( in my case chemistry). Sarah made me feel better equipped to tackle this exam, and I would highly recommend her to others.
