From fourth grade onward, I have been working one-on-one with students to help them genuinely understand material rather than just get through it. I started as a volunteer in my mother's elementary classroom at the school I attended and have been tutoring ever since, through word of mouth in my community, and structured Mu Alpha Theta tutoring.

Over the past two years I have taken on students professionally, working primarily with high schoolers on SAT and ACT math preparation. Growing up with a teacher for a mother and a father who translates complex technical problems for business clients meant that making things understandable to people was something I cared about long before I thought of it as a skill.

I graduated from Lake Howell High School as an AP Scholar with Distinction and earned a full ride to the University of Florida where I am now studying Computer Engineering. I also intern at a tech startup and perform stand up comedy, two settings that have sharpened my communication and explanation skills faster than almost anything else.

When I start with a new student, I run a diagnostic first so I know exactly where their points are being lost rather than guessing. From there, sessions focus on the specific concepts and question types that are costing them the most, because the SAT and ACT test the same ideas over and over and learning to recognize those patterns is often the fastest way to move a score. I also spend real time on wrong answers, not just marking them incorrect but working backward through the reasoning to find where things went sideways.

I am a communicator first and a mathematician second. I have worked with students across every level, peers, friends, people who were convinced they simply could not do math, and what I have learned is that the gap is rarely about IQ. It is confidence and clarity, and both of those are fixable. A test score going up tells me we are on track. A student walking out feeling like they actually understand what they are doing is when I feel like the j
