I have been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis for 9 years. In 2002, I became interested in Applied Behavior Analysis through a supervised internship I completed in the Psychology Lab at Queens College. Upon completion, I received the Applied Behavior Analytic Pre-training Certificate. In addition, my first teaching experience in a home-based program has given me hands-on experience and allowed me to use both discrete-trial teaching and incidental teaching with children with autism. As a result of my previous internship and work experience, I began to further pursue this field. My interest in Applied Behavior Analysis led me to enroll in the M.A. Clinical Behavioral Applications Program at Queens College. The classes that I have taken at Queens College have enhanced my knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis. I have met all of the requirements for the Clinical Behavioral Applications Program and graduated with a Master's Degree in Psychology.
I later began to gain more work experience working with various children in both school and home-based settings. I have supervised a number of cases, where I provided both parent and staff training and conducted Functional Behavioral Assessments with staff and families. In addition, I wrote several Behavior Intervention Plans and educational programs for individuals with autism. Also, I have implemented and updated programs. As a result, I have observed great behavioral and social progress in a number of individuals that I have worked with.
