I am a high school senior graduating in May 2026 with a strong academic background and leadership experience in both academics and extracurricular activities. I scored a 32 on the ACT (33 superscore), including 35 in Reading and 35 in English, and a 1330 on the SAT with a 700 in Evidence-Based Reading and Writing. These scores reflect my strong ability in reading comprehension, grammar, and analytical thinking, which I aim to help students develop in their own studies.
In addition to my academic performance, I have significant leadership and mentorship experience. I currently serve as Senior Class President, Treasurer of National Honor Society, and Treasurer of Key Club, roles that require organization, communication, and the ability to guide and support other students. I am also the President of the Chess Club, where I regularly help teach strategy and fundamentals to newer players. I hold a 1300+ rating on Chess.com, which places me in the intermediate skill range and reflects a solid understanding of chess openings, tactics, and positional play.
My tutoring approach focuses on building students’ understanding and confidence rather than simply memorizing answers. I emphasize clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and strategies that help students approach reading passages and grammar questions efficiently on standardized tests such as the ACT and SAT. For chess instruction, I focus on developing tactical awareness, pattern recognition, and structured thinking that help students improve their decision-making during games.
While my teaching experience has primarily been through peer mentorship, leadership roles, and helping classmates understand difficult material, these experiences have given me extensive practice explaining concepts clearly in a one-on-one setting. I work well with middle school and high school students and aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing stronger academic skills.
