Why did I decide to become a tutor? What a great question! I remember struggling with math and English in elementary and middle school. Why did I decide to become a tutor? What a great question! I remember struggling with math and English in elementary and middle school. I didn't enjoy both math and English because I thought I wasn't good at it. My sister, who is a few years older than me, was my tutor and helped me fall in love with both subjects! She was calm and super patient as I struggled with math. She would give me tips and tricks to help me succeed, and needless to say, it worked and helped me throughout the rest of my schooling.

I received a teaching degree from La Salle University in 2018. Initially, I had plans to teach social studies, but I kept going back to math and English. I taught high school history for a year in 2018, just before I graduated. Then after graduation, I got a job teaching all subjects in an elementary school, and I instantly fell in love. The students had a passion for learning, and I strived to be the calm and patient teacher my sister was to me in elementary school.

This past year I taught 4th grade in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I taught all subject areas, including math, English, science, and social studies. Due to the pandemic, most of our school year was virtual. However, I created several virtual lessons for each subject that helped my students stay engaged. Virtual learning was not easy for all my students, so I started virtual tutoring sessions after school. We spent about 15 minutes going over problems we did in class, and then I would answer any homework questions.

My goal as a teacher/tutor is to let my students know that I will support them! I have a passion for learning that I hope to pass on to you and your child. I look forward to the opportunity to help you or your child find success in whatever subject areas you may be struggling with!

This past year I taught 4th-grade common core math. The curriculum I used is called Eureka. My goal for my students was to not only teach the content but find ways to help them truly understand the concept. I developed lessons both virtually and in-p

Public Speaking

Starting in 2015, I began my teaching career where I was required to take a public speaking class. Since then I have put myself in situations where I am consistently developing new skills. I have been a teacher for 2 years. Prior to teaching I worked for 4+ years in guest services. I was a tour guide at La Salle University, a secretary at the YMCA, and a cast member at Walt Disney World.
