I am a senior undergraduate & incoming medical student at the University of Central Florida graduating summa cum laude this semester with a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, along with minors in Mathematics and Medical Sociology. I scored in the 90th percentile on the MCAT, including the 96th percentile in the Biology and Biochemistry section. I also completed an honors thesis titled Repurposing Cyclin-Dependent Kinase Inhibitors for the Discovery of Novel Antiplasmodial Compounds, and my academic and research experience has strengthened my ability to clearly explain complex STEM concepts.
For the past three years, I have worked as a MathKnights tutor at UCF, where I prepared middle and high school students for AMC 10 and AMC 12 competitions in both one-on-one and small group settings. My teaching focuses on building conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills, guiding students step by step and helping them approach unfamiliar problems with confidence. I also served as an AP Chemistry tutor during my junior year of high school, working with peers to reinforce core concepts and exam preparation.
In addition, I have volunteered with Village Book Builders, where I mentored middle school students from Ghana in a virtual setting. Across all of my experience, I have worked with students ranging from middle school to advanced high school levels, and I adapt my teaching style to each individual to create a structured, supportive learning environment.

AMC (Competition math)

I qualified for the AIME all four years of high school through strong performance on the AMC 10 and AMC 12. I have also spent three years tutoring AMC students through MathKnights at the University of Central Florida, working with middle and high school students in both one-on-one and small group settings. My experience includes teaching core topics such as algebra, number theory, combinatorics, and geometry, with a focus on problem-solving strategies rather than memorization. I emphasize pattern recognition, efficient approaches, and building intuition to help students tackle unfamiliar competition problems with confidence.
MCAT

MCAT

I have taken the MCAT twice, achieving a superscore of 515 (90th percentile), with 130 scores in Chemical/Physical, Biological/Biochemical, and Psychological/Social sections. My preparation combined Kaplan for content review, Anki for spaced repetition, UWorld for passage-based practice, and AAMC official materials to match exam style and difficulty. I developed structured approaches for analyzing passages, interpreting data, and applying concepts efficiently under timed conditions. My background in biomedical sciences supports my ability to connect foundational content to the reasoning skills required on the exam.
